Younger Singaporeans will not know the Capitol Theatre, which closed in 1998. Now, 17 years later, it will reopen with a splash on May 19 with a lavish $2.72 million musical. Singapura: The Musical will tell the story of a family's travails in the 10 years before Singapore became independent.
