The Straits Times Singaporean of the Year award seeks to honour extraordinary acts of goodwill, ingenuity or perseverance by Singaporeans that have made a positive impact.

Organised by The Straits Times and presented by global bank UBS, the annual award is now in its third year.

The first 100 to vote will win “Big Hearts, Big Dreams”, a compilation of stories written by Wong Kim Hoh. The book profiles the 21 winners and nominees from the first two years of the award, which celebrates individuals and groups who made headlines not because of their status or fame, but for their selfless acts of goodwill.
